Hun Manet Urges More Vietnamese Investors from Can Tho City to Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, has urged more investors from Can Tho City, Vietnam, to come to Cambodia. He made these remarks during a meeting with the Party Central Committee member and Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chin Viet Choeung, on Tuesday morning (24 May).

The meeting was held at the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces headquarters in Phnom Penh. Can Tho People’s Committee Chairman, Chin Viet Choeung, paid a courtesy call to Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, and stated that he appreciates the current development of Cambodia and shares congratulations with the country on the occasion of the 55th Anniversary of Cambodia-Vietnam diplomatic relations in 2022.

He also mentioned that Can Tho city has a history of friendly relations with many organizations in Cambodia, and this good cooperation has contributed significantly to the promotion of economic and cultural relations between people. Going forward, he hopes that this bilateral cooperation will be further strengthened and expanded.

In response, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet mentioned the long-standing friendship between Cambodia and Vietnam, and thanked the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for its past support of Cambodia. He further stated that he supports encouraging more investors from Can Tho city to come to Cambodia.

Can Tho People’s Committee Chairman Chin Viet Choeung also invited Lt. Gen. Hun Manet to visit Can Tho city in Vietnam at a convenient time in the near future.
